Zaaz: Hello to all those who helped support FursonaPod and what we were trying to accomplish.
The last episode of FursonaPod EVER is currently up, and will be for ONE DAY ONLY, March 31st, 2009. So download it NOW!

I’m deeply saddened to say that FursonaPod will no longer be maintained by myself, Mogi, or Yazuu. FursonaPod is officially up for grabs, so if you’re interested in continuing on the work that I have started, please contact me: fursonapod@gmail.com
This includes the site as is, including the podcasts, and three URL endings to FursonaPod of .COM, .NET, and .ORG

Maybe the question is, “What were we trying to accomplish?”
When I first acknowledged to myself that I was interested in the fandom and started posting on message boards, I saw a need amongst the fans of furry fandom in all regards. To the ‘veterans’, newbies, casuals, and hardcore. From fursuiters to art lovers, and everything within and in between. What I saw though, were scattered podcasts about whatever the hell the hosts felt like talking about at the time. I saw, and still see a disorganization that makes me wonder how the hell and event like Anthrocon can even exist since I can only appreciate the level of dedication and organization that must go into an event that large.

And yet, in one of the most powerful mediums available of audio podcasting, there’s nothing but garbage and crap. I’d like to give a nod though to AnthroPod.org. Flain, when he broke free of Clawcast, has created an organized site with fairly well done podcasts. I wish to them all the best.

What have I hoped to accomplish with FursonaPod? I was hoping to provide solid discussion around the topics that ARE important to anyone who lives within the fandom, to any and all degrees. I’m glad that we were able to do the last podcast as well as we did; even if the mood is notably melancholy. I feel like I did something, damn it! I feel like, for the first time in all the things I’ve tried in my failure after failure life, I finally created something that people gave a damn about, and people looked forward to, and finally a venue where my thoughts could be heard beyond my group of friends. Nothing wrong with my friends, there’s just not enough of them ^_^

But in the end, when faced with the options of this or the love of my wife, it’s no contest. And to all you other furries out there, I hope you’re never faced with this same choice I had to make. But in the end, if you’re even thinking of furry over love, grow up! I don’t mean furry over that girl that you’ve been dating for a week. I mean a girl that I’ve been with for over six years.

And so, my friends, thank you for all the love you’ve shown me and especially educating me that Furry Fandom is more than just a poorly done CSI episode, and that fans range from young to old, but all care for each other because we are a community.

I’ll still be on Deviant Art, on MSN for those who already have me added, but otherwise I’m cutting out. No more AlbertaFurries, AnthroPod, or FurAffinity. I’m very sad to leave as I felt like I’ve done some good and also brought the image of the fandom up a notch from where it was.

Thanks for the opportunity.

Zaaz

Zaaz: Hello All,

I know that you’re probably thinking, “Why the hell is this guy still posting? I thought he was done?”

Well, yes, you’re right. Ironically, the last postcast, Episode 5: Furries in the Closet, is what really saved the podcast in the end. I knew that this podcast was going to be important, but I didn’t realize that it would end up being pivotal.

Basically, I messed up. Plain and simple. I got in way too deep way too fast, and I wasn’t sure how to get out. And this all came to a head literally right before we dropped the needle on that podcast (note the unenergetic tones, especially from Mogi). However, my wife, Juna, took a listen to the podcast, and now she’s realized where the podcast stands in this furry world, and that we aren’t all perverted yiff-mongers. (well, she still thinks I’m perverted, but whateva!).

Anyhow, she wants for us to continue our work with the podcast, and will in fact start posting around Fur Affinity, and will be even contributing to the podcast in some form or another in the near future. So please, be nice to her! She’s awesome and I understand where she was coming from. For that, I deeply apologize to her, and look only to the future while not forgetting the lessons of the past.

Zaaz

PS: No, this wasn’t an April Fools Day joke, or a publicity stunt. This was all very serious, and I’m glad that everything worked out.

I was a little sarcastic, and I meant that Yazuu should sing the theme songs, because she was the least enthusiastic while singing "Mail call." I didn't expect you to do it, but I did enjoy it. Thank you. That was very funny.

In episode 3 you did not have any ideas for the next episode.
I had intended for those topics to maybe take up episodes for when you ran out of ideas. Did you quickly discuss them because you had intended for this to be the final podcast? Now you have decided to continue it. If that is the case it is a lot like what happened to Governor Kodos when he KNEW there was not enough food for the colony to last until the next food shipment. Because they would not have survived, Kodos ordered half the colony to its death, so that the others could live. Then the shipment came early. The parallel being that you both made decisions based on circumstances that changed, and you both killed something that could have lasted longer.
I suppose you could look at the topics again, but you(Zaaz) stated that that was something you did not like in other podcasts.
I think that Mogi should choose the next topic, so that she will be more talkative about the subject.

Hey guys! This was like one of the most interesting podcasts I've listened to so far. You should have a special guest every time! So yeah, very interesting and looking forward to the next one!

Cool! We'll keep you in mind and see what we can do. Basically all you need is a mic and Skype (or even MSN will do). Other than that, we'll keep in touch and let you know when there's a topic we'd like your input on.

I don't quite understand what you are trying to ask.  Could you possibly re-word it for me?  Is it something like "Would you care if I confer (consult with us/ compare opinions) with this website in my own blogging?"  If you are asking if you can cite this website for information then I don't see why not.  If you are asking you want to consult with us in your blogging then maybe.  Comment back or send an email to listenermail@fursonapod.com detailing exactly what you want.  I just want to make sure I understand before I agree to something.
