Zaaz:Hello all my furry friends! Well, we’re into the New Year of 2ooo and change, and at the end of our first year of podcasting. My how time flies! To celebrate this milestone, this month’s episode starts with a compilation of all the sound blurbs we’ve had throughout the year (with of course a new one for this ep). Next FursonaPod, there will be a new intro song, so keep your ears perked for that. Hopefully I’ll be able to find a sound clip that suits us as well as this one has.
So far, this year has the prospect to be pretty exciting (the most exciting would be to be invited as a Guest of Honour at a con, but I’ll keep dreaming until that happens ^^;
, so I’m looking forward to the prospect of the unknown year that is unfolding before me. It’s amazing to think about how our fan base (that’s you!) has grown in just one short year to its current level and curiosity abounds as to what numbers we’ll be amassing in the upcoming year of fans and downloads.
So with that, here’s to 2o1o and may it be an awesome year for everyone! And here's the goodies! Crazy Japanese Ad referenced in the podcast can be found here. And the Super Delicious Awesome Web Comic-ku is Project Future with a censorship Panda Rating of PG 14+.

First of all, I just started listening to fursonapod and all i have to say is awesome.
as for the debate about the negative public opinion of furries, i would like to direct you to a discussion that was going on at ontario furries recently, entitled 'FOXmas cancelled due to SA writeup'

Very nice points! It's sad to see the good furries running away from the fandom because of the dark side of the fandom.
I actually almost left the fandom because of both the porn and drama. For the porn side I know that they have a right to post what they will as long as they stamp it as 18+ material but some of the subjects they choose to make are truly disturbing. The two main offenders are bestiality type drawings and the cub porn type drawings like what you touched on in the Podcast. But there are still more disturbing types of 'art' that are out there, like rape and scat. These types of 'art' are NOT cool in any fandom under any condition. If they truly feel the need to draw those subjects, let alone post those drawings, why can't they at least have the decency to make their own websites for such content instead of filling up widely known furry sites with the garbage, thus killing any chance at saving the fandom?
As for the drama, I've come to realize that no matter where you are, what groups you are a part of. People have the urge inside of them to fight for something, just look at almost any music video on youtube for example. Chances are there is an on-going drama war about how this band sucks in the comments area, and in the same comments area there is usually a religion battle going on out of the blue, along with a sexuality rights war. So I figure, drama happens, don't get dramatic about it. Anyways...
Good point about waiting at least a year to consider diving in and purchasing a fursuit. I have been in the fandom for about 3 years and when I first tripped into it I wanted to have a fursuit so bad. All I could think about was how I could afford one and convince my parents to let me buy one. I even considered making one myself. But I didn't have the money so I decided to start saving. A year later I finally realized that a fursuit would just be a waste of money to me since I would not be able to use it all the time to make it worth the ~$2000 for one. Don't get me wrong, I still think they are awesome and a nice form of art and expression, but what use would it be if I didn't have anywhere to wear it to?
Wall-o-rant aside, once again, good job on the cast. Keep up the good work and keep spreading and promoting the good side of the fandom because the good side is in desperate need of a voice!

Whoooooaaaa! This is like an email Xiath! Oh well, any way to get the good word out ^_^
Right... i forgot about scat (thanks for reminding me, jack ass :p). The problem with being responsible and having their own sites or posting this kind of material in appropriate venues is simple: they get more traffic in public spaces. And that's the way it goes. It's the same reason why boobs, boxes, and balls are now included in Hollywood movies, where as before such things were absent. So long as sex and perversion sells, people will keep pushing the envelope of 'socially acceptable', and therefore the bar is continually raised incrementally until before you know it full on graphic sex will be in PG-13 movies, until there's either a drastic right-wing shift, or the world finally gives up trying.

Yeah, I kind of realized that would have fit better in an e-mail after I submitted it, sorry `bout that.
Yeah, I guess you're right about the traffic thing. I just wish people saw the fandom as the good side, rather then the ever-so-loud disgusting side. But that wouldn't make us weird enough, now would it.
Anyways, complaining isn't going to help. People seem to naturally be perverted to some degree so there's not much we can do to change that. All we can really do is to try to educate people about what this fandom has to offer besides the perversion.
P.S. Sorry about the scat reference.
P.P.S. To those who don't know what scat is, be thankful that you don't know, there are things you just can't un-see.
