Zaaz:Lol! We aren't dead. Silly rabbit, Trix are for hookers! If FursonaPod were going to die, I'd at least have the decency to tell you! Because I loves youuuu!

What happened is that the hard drive that I got put into it near a year ago tanked. Got irreparably bad sectors. The good and bad news is that it was still under Manufacturer's warranty, so it had to be sent away for repairs. Two months later, near, the HD was still not received, so the PC guys just said f-it and gave me a new one off the shelf. So, we're back, we're going to still record from time to time, but please understand how busy I am this year and be patient. If you have something to contribute such as segments, interviews, ect, we'd love to get them and use them as it makes our lives easier to fill our time slot. Other than that, talk to you all soon!

Zaaz: Hello all you furry folk out there! We’re back yet again with another installment of… whatever the heck it is that we do around here! ^_^ First off, know that the dessert is at the end of the podcast! Our very own Shanerous managed to snag an interview with Genesis Whitmore of Little Tales fame. Her comic was also featured on a FursonaPod ‘Super Delicious Awesome Web Comic-ku!!!’ and give a lot of insight on her works and how the fandom has changed since when she first joined.

This pod we manage to cage the phoenix! That’s right! The one and thankfully only Flain of Anthropod.org fame joins us for a beer and a fight for mic control! (I think he wins :o )

We talk about all things furry such as beer, hockey, and Sonic 4. Oh yea, and we do eventually brush on the topic of ‘Furries Reacting to Controversy’, but I think this is just going to be a topic that we revisit at a later cast ^^;; It’s a long cast, so I hope you enjoy all 1.5 hours of it!

FursonaPod Ep22 - The Metallica Effect

Zaaz: Hello one and hello all! Welcome to the most ill-fated podcast we’ve ever recorded! Scheduling problems are only the tip of this depression ice berg. We did manage to get a guest on, the host of the AnthroMedia podcast DJ Dark Viper (or Kyle Coyote, or whatever the hell he’s called nowadays). Unfortunately he couldn’t join us from the start, so we recorded for the first 15 minutes without him.

The same 15 minutes incidentally that were digitally lost (woo-hoo [with sarcasm]) hence why it just drops into the middle of a conversation between Moji and myself. HOWEVER, all that said, there’s still a lot of good stuff in here. We talk about how the Oscars suck, and specifically The Hurt Locker being an amateurish piece of crap that didn’t deserve the awards it got. We also talk about the Playstation Move, how bad of a Wii rip off it is, and discover that Zaaz is bored of motion controls, but DJ Dark Viper is adamant that it’s the second coming of Wii.

I also lament about the current state of FursonaPod. I’m starting to think it’s time that I phase out my era of this awesome podcast an pass the torch onto another fur who’s still ultra interested in providing this service to others. Due to how busy I am month after month, and also that we’re starting to run out of original topics to discuss, I think now is the right time to begin looking for a suitable now host to take over the reigns. I’m still interested in doing the podcast, and will remain so for the foreseeable future, however my less than enthusiastic co-hosts are a pain, quite frankly, to coordinate recording times with now, and I’m doing all the bloody work (example: Moji has yet to post on the blog after a year of doing this). So this is NOT THE END of FursonaPod; it’s just the time I feel for a new beginning For anyone interested in talks, you know where to find me!

The Olympic spirit is well within us to the degree that even the podcast’s title is a competition: Furries Versus Anthros! Who’s cuisine will reign supreme? The answers are all found within!

He’s a guest speaker/panelist at Furnal Equinox in Ontario and aside from his novel of 12 short stories, he’s also into the fursuit building side of things. Oh Noooooeesss!!!

Zaaz: Hello all furries young and old out there! I’ve unfortunately made the decision that the FursonaPod scheduled for February 15th is going to be postponed until March 1st. The reasons being:

The car broke again. *sigh* So getting the family car running healthy again is a top priority. (I shouldn’t have bought domestic)
My family from BC decided to drop in for a week long visit, which is AWESOME!!!!!! However means that the free time tank dropped to zero :p
I think this upcoming topic of Anthros vs Furries: The Fine Grey Line is interesting and would like to do a proper podcast on it instead of just throwing together a quickie for the sake of meeting the deadline.

So, I hope you’ll all understand. This is the first podcast that we’re going to miss, and is definitely not intended to be a trend. Hope you all have a warm February, and if you’re cold … BUY A FUR SUIT! XD

Zaaz:Hello all my furry friends! Well, we’re into the New Year of 2ooo and change, and at the end of our first year of podcasting. My how time flies! To celebrate this milestone, this month’s episode starts with a compilation of all the sound blurbs we’ve had throughout the year (with of course a new one for this ep). Next FursonaPod, there will be a new intro song, so keep your ears perked for that. Hopefully I’ll be able to find a sound clip that suits us as well as this one has.

So far, this year has the prospect to be pretty exciting (the most exciting would be to be invited as a Guest of Honour at a con, but I’ll keep dreaming until that happens ^^;, so I’m looking forward to the prospect of the unknown year that is unfolding before me. It’s amazing to think about how our fan base (that’s you!) has grown in just one short year to its current level and curiosity abounds as to what numbers we’ll be amassing in the upcoming year of fans and downloads.

FursonaPod Ep18 - A Very Furry Christmas

Zaaz: Merry Christmas one and all! Yes, the December podcast was NOT posted on Dec 1st, but an opportunity to record with a group of furries arose, so we decided to take it. Big thanks to Orcus for organizing the Furry Christmas Party. It was lots of fun to hang out, eat food, and be merry. Unfortunately, one thing that I’m discovering is that the more people we get on the podcast at the same time, the more difficult it is to fill a half hour, let alone a full hour which is even better. I’m not sure how that works. Logically you would think it’d be easier with more people, but there you go. It ain’t.

Bathroom Get!

Zaaz: Yay! The bathroom is finally completed to a functional form! *does a happy dance* Winterization continues of the house. Hauled 3 loads of firewood last weekend, even though it was raining (fun fun). No, our house doesn’t have a wood stove/fireplace (although it would be nice if it did), however my garage has a wood stove, as does the ice shack for fishing, so had to get my stock piles up (but maybe the hoarding is just the skunk in me :x ).

I tried to convince ChewFox (furry from the Tyra Banks show) to do an interview type cast with me, but she gracefully declined. Fair enough, I suppose. She mentioned that she has managed to repair her relationship with the furs in her area. Personally from what I’ve seen, I don’t see that as a difficult thing. Furs tend to blow off the handle, then forgive quickly there after because (OMG!) a furry might leave the fandom.

As is the fickle group that furries are. Convictions, furries; stick with them! People might respect you more.

Snow

Zaaz:Hey all! The cold dark freezer known as Winter has started in Saskatchewan early. There's already over 2 inches on the ground. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing in itself, but combined with the fact that we only had about 2 weeks total of hot Summer days (in September no less) means that this is going to be a looong Winter.

Furry Sex on the Tyra Banks Show! Yaaaay!... go to hell

Zaaz: For those of you who haven’t been on Fur Affinity in the last 24 hours, the Tyra Banks Show was kind enough to put on a furry couple for their episode of ‘weird bedroom fetishes’, or whatever. BRAVO you dumb ass furs! Bra-the-fek-o. They made it quite clear what furries are, “Furries are people who like to dress up as their inner animal, go to conventions, and have sex together in costume. … There’s strategically placed holes.” Seriously!

I know that this is an entire fandom and that our poor little podcast does not have the ability to change things over night, but it’s crap like this that makes me regret ever starting into this journey. Why do I even bother putting the work into this site and organizing all these recording when people just go onto national TV and set us not a step, but MILES back in the public eye. Is there’s anything that can actually be done to fix this crap hole known as the furry fandom? The only solution is to let it implode on itself, as I quietly walk away.

Well, it’s crunch time around here. I’m going to embark on completely gutting my bathroom to (hopefully) make it much better. However this is going to be a project full of ‘firsts’ for me, such as laying linoleum, installing a tub, putting on shower surround, and so hopefully I’ll come out of this fairly unscathed. It’d be nice to have this done in two weekends, but will most likely drag to the end of the month. Meinh, as is life.

FursonaPod Ep13 - Meeting Furries in your Area

Zaaz:Hello again! I’m not sure how it happened, but just as our topic was, “Meeting Furries in your Area,” we ended up with a whole gaggle of furries from our area, joining us on this podcast! Three hosts, plus 3 guests, equals a right furry mess! The recording went fairly well, considering that we were using a new setup of equipment, lent to us and set up by Orcus. You can see the pictures of this setup on our new FursonaPod Facebook account, which you can find by doing a name search for first name ‘Fursona’, second name ‘Pod’. Or by the nickname ‘Fursonapod’ as well.

So, as was afore mentioned, we got set up with a big, professional setup for this recording. In studio, we all (Zaaz, Moji, Yazuu, Neverwolf, and Orcus) all had our own headsets and mics. Given the size of the room we recorded in, it was like a spider legs of black cables, stands, and equipment. The cool thing about this is that Orcus was able to monitor and adjust every one of our input levels, so you can actually hear what Yazuu’s saying for a change.

Although we estimated everyone’s levels as best as we could, post recording, it turned into an editing nightmare because the levels we though were good turned out to be somewhat divided into 3 levels: Quiet (Zaaz, Orcus), medium (Moji, Yazuu, Neverwolf), and blazing loud (Shaard). Like BLAZING loud! Like, my ear drums died so yours don’t have to, loud. But thank goodness for editing! So all in all it turned out pretty damn good.

Zaaz:Hello one and all! It’s your favourite FursonaPod skunk host here. This time, we were lucky enough to catch up with fur suit creator extraordinaire TrpDwarf! Yaaaay! This podcast is for, by, and for (once again) all of you crazy furs hell bent on buying or making your own suit. Also, for a double shot of awesome, we have our new recording software, so the Dwarf sounds even better than ever (for the first bit anyways). Unfortunately, our nemesis, The Echo, has returned with a vengeance! No, not as bad as in Ep 10’s outtake reel, but after editing both streams for 1.5 hours, I realized that I was at the 15 minute mark of the edited podcast. I’m sorry all, I just don’t have 6 hours of free time to edit this mo-fo with, so you’ll probably notice a drop off when I cut to just the single stream. That said though, here we are! A published podcast and once again, we managed to meet the deadline.

Basically, our problem is that us 3 are recording off of a central mic, and listening to our guests over speakers. The result is that the guest’s audio is getting recorded twice, which is always embarrassing :p But we’ll continue pressing on until we come upon a solution to this issue as well. For we are the Ultra Omega Furry Team Zion Force! (Power Rings!)
